Some of the family has asked how they go about reading, commenting, and posting their own material on the hepbron blog. Here is some information that may help. You must remember that I am new at this too and have a great deal to learn myself. However, here is what I have found to date.
1. You get to the blog by using the address http://thehepbronblog.blogspot.com. Once there, you should put the page in your " Favorites" so you don't have to retype the address every time you want to get to the blog.
2. Now anybody can post a comment about material they read on the blog. ( Note: this is a recent change) Under material you find on the blog you will see in small letters the number of comments that have been submitted for that particular posting. Click on the word "comments" and a page comes up to enable you to add your own own comments about that posting. You can write, edit, etc. When finished, click "post comment" and your comment will appear after the last comment under that particular material that has been posted.
3. Everyone in the greater Hepbron tribe has been invited to be an "Author" on the blog. Authors can publish their own material (postings) on the blog. I have submitted all the email addresses of family members, grandchildren, etc. that Sue gave me to the blogspot as "authors". BlogSpot, in turn, has sent each of these people an invitation to join the blog as "authors". You must respond and sign up for a free Google account, if you do not already have one, in order to become an "author". Once you have signed up for the Google account, you will automatically be able to post your own material. articles, etc. on the blog in addition to commenting on other's material. This is what we are hoping everyone will want to do. As of June 29, we have only 4 families signed up as authors: : Helen & I, John & Deb, Spencer, and Sue & Lloyd. I know some others have Google accounts as they use Gmail, but so far they have not signed as authors. If I missed you, or you forgot to sign up, Email me and I will send your name in.
Hope this helps some of the older Hepbrons like me who are still trying to figure out how the electric stove works. George
